A Bit About Me
Hey there! My name is Claudia Montague (yes, like Romeo & Juliet). And I always ask myself if my parents knew I’d be an actress one day…
As a proud midwesterner, I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. When I was four, I begged my mom to put me in dance class because I wanted to be a “star,” and the rest is history! So, if they didn’t know when I was born that I was meant for drama, they didn't have to wait long to figure it out.
Growing up, I spent my summers dancing and singing as a MUNY teen. I also danced competitively, and I was on my high school poms team. In college I continued my theatre education at Florida State University where I graduated magna cum laude and received my BFA in Music Theatre. Go ‘Noles!
Currently, I live in New York City. I spend my free time in dance class, walking the city to explore new coffee shops, or listening to my favorite comedy podcast! This year, I am looking forward to being part of new works and projects that can make the world a better place. I am interested in pieces exploring social issues and equality (speaks for itself), comedy (to ease our pain), and the macabre (because I am, after all, a Scorpio).

I loved returning to Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts to perform in their winter production of "A Christmas Carol!"
I had the amazing opportunity to work at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts in their production of "Elf the Musical!" I had a blast "singing loud for all to hear."

I'm a proud "virtual" May 2020 graduate! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre. I feel lucky to have danced, sang, and acted my way through my college years at Florida State! Go 'Noles!

I had a blast as part of the ensemble of "Beauty and the Beast" at the outdoor theatre of American Stage in April-May 2024!
With the help of my best friend Connor, my class was able to put together a “goodbye song” video of what would’ve been our closing showcase number. You can watch us singing “The Key Is” from Alice by Heart by Duncan Sheik & Steven Sater.
